Your knees are one of the largest and most complex joints in your body. They bear the weight of your entire body with every step you take. The shoes you wear can either help distribute that weight properly or throw everything out of alignment, leading to knee pain. Hereâs how:
Arch Support and Alignment:
Your feet have natural arches that need proper support. Without it, your feet can either roll inward (overpronation) or outward (oversupination), which can cause your knees to move out of alignment.
Proper arch support helps maintain the alignment of your feet, ankles, and knees, reducing the strain on your knees and preventing pain.
Cushioning and Impact Absorption:
Every time your foot hits the ground, your knees absorb a significant amount of impact. Shoes with good cushioning can help absorb some of that shock, reducing the stress on your knees.
